Everyone can make music

After teaching 200+ students across the last 10 years, I’ve learned that skill building is a skill in and of itself. Whatever you want to learn, be it singing, playing an instrument, or writing music, none of these skills are too complex for you to master. Complexity is merely the stacking of many simplicities, so if you can grasp a handful of simple skills, then you can handle the complex task of making beautiful music.

When you’re early on in your journey, it’s hard to know what all of those simple skills even are, let alone what methods to use to tackle them and in what order to pursue them. My job is to know those simple skills, get to know your specific needs, and help you implement those skills in the way that best serves your goals.

I’ve taught private lessons to:

  • 90+ piano students

  • 50+ voice students

  • 30+ students in various other pursuits including music composition, improvisation, guitar, bass, ukulele, sound design, and audio engineering

  • … and countless more students in group settings not included in the above figures

What do I specialize in?
